PPA172 and an Epic This and That Card

Hello!

I have been working on a few different projects and didn’t feel like I was making headway on any of them, so tonight I decided to just make an easy card for the PPA challenge.  Of course, as sketch challenges normally do, I ended up making a nice sketch complicated and before I know it, the evening was POOF – gone!  I wanted to use a designer paper that I hadn’t used before so I got out Epic This and That, found the hexagons and I was smitten:

Epic

I think this design is perfect for a masculine card so I kept it with very clean lines and rustic ribbon.  I love the washi tape with the hexagon shapes and it is VERY easy to use.  The candy dots add just the right amount of color.  The sentiment is from one of my favorite stamp sets in the new catalog – Chalk Talk.  I use it frequently, especially because it comes with framelits to make the possibility of layering so fast and easy.  I really love the different colors in the designer paper, which are all soft and subtle but easily showcased.

So, I hope you like my card today!  What Stampin’ Up! product do you use all of the time?  Won’t you please leave me a comment?   You might as well so you will be eligible for blog candy!  I hope you have a great weekend with lots of stampin’ time!  Till next time,

Keep calm and craft on!

Debbie

  1. This is a great card – not too complicated to make but a really rich look with the elements you used.

My favorite Stampin’ Up! products are the punches. I rarely make a card without using at least one 🙂

  2. I totally agree with you, Jan! I just went through the catalog and ordered the rest of the ones I didn’t have! LOL

  3. Love this card, Debbie! Just pinned it so that I will remember to come back to it. As you say, it is all in the details!!

It is definitely the Big Shot that I use with just about every project, whether it be an embossing folder, die or framelit! My favorite toy…. 🙂

  4. I love this card Debbie! I, too, love punches as well as all the possibilities that are available with the Big Shot!

  5. Another wonderful amazing card!!! I can’t do without my BigShot because I am always using embossing folders and dies and then my punches next. I also love making cards just from punches.

  6. Another fabulous card, thanks for sharing. I’m with the others who commented, I can’t live without my Big Shot. I love to emboss cards.
