Hello!
I LOVE washi tape! I knew that it would be fun but I had to find just the right project for it – and, by golly, I did! This summer I made a banner, inking the banners with sponges. It went pretty well but there was definitely a learning curve to it. I have been timid to try the spritzing technique. I am sure it would be nice but somehow I didn’t feel very inspired to try it. So, I have been trying to think of other ways to make a banner and it suddenly occurred to me that the washi tape would be fast and easy with NO MESS! It seriously was fun to do, went down quickly and I could lay it down where I wanted and played with it till I was satisfied. I just trimmed them once I was all finished.
I finished the banners with the washi tape then made the letters and wreath. For the letters, I used my daubers. Then I used the circle framelits to cut them out and framed each with cherry cobbler cardstock. The 3-D ornaments were very easy! I stamped four of them, punch them out with the coordinating punch, folded each in half then put adhesive to stick them together. Baker’s twine was glued to the back and then looped onto the banner. Cherry Cobbler ribbon tied onto the banner in quick, little bows and some little dabs of Dazzling Details on the Wonderful Wreath stamp were the finishing touch!
Tip of the Day: Washi Tape is a wonderful way to make the background of the banners! I recommend using some kind of adhesive on the canvas banner to keep the ends of the washi tape from popping up.

I hope that you are getting into the holiday spirit and getting ready to do some decorating with your Stampin’ Up! supplies. What decorating can you start on this week?
Tomorrow is the LAST day to join Stampin’ Up! for $25!! I am looking for someone who wants to take this hobby to the next level! You are not obligated to spend any more than that. It would be a GREAT way to test drive being a Pal (under the leadership of Head Pal, Mary Fish!) with no further obligation. If you are interested, please contact me. There are many offers going on as well, so stay tuned! Until Tuesday,
Keep calm and craft on!
