I am So Very Grateful that you came today! Are you ready for the new year? I am! I can’t WAIT to show you all of the super cool new products in the Occasions catalog!! Stampin’ Up! is making crafting easier and better than ever! Their new products are fresh and pretty – no matter what your crafting style is. I wanted to play with this new stamp set, So Very Grateful, for many reasons, but the best part is that it is a stamp set that begs to be watercolored and Stampin’ Up! has new notecards that are for watercoloring. A match made in heaven as far as I am concerned!
I started with the watercolor notecard but cut the card in half so I could mount it to Calypso Coral and an Old Olive card base. I heat embossed the stamp with Early Espresso and the watercoloring went great! I love how easy it is with just the right paper and stamp set. Calypso Coral ribbon went onto the card and the sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral and punched with the Scallop Oval punch, candy dots used for embellishment and then popped up on dimensionals. After that, it still needed a little more (I don’t do CAS without a fight!) so another stamp on watercolor paper, embossed and watercolored, then fussy cut this time and added a second layer to the flowers on dimensionals and a little on the top corners, just for fun.
