I bet you are still trying to figure out what you are going to get for at least one person on your holiday list this year! I have kids who like to shop for themselves so gift cards are always my solution for them. The stamp set, Very Merry Tags, will certainly make the presentation of your gift cards super fun and easy! I will be entering this gift card holder in the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week, which is a color challenge using Elegant Eggplant, Smoky Slate and Very Vanilla.
This gift card holder was quickly made, using Very Vanilla (4.25 x 12″) and then scored at 4″, 5.5″ and 7″. Those scores make the little holder for the gift card by adhering them together with sticky tape. You will have an inch left on one of the sides of the card base and that is what holds the Very Vanilla gift box top (cut at 4.5″ x 1.5″). Elegant Eggplant is one of the most beautiful of all Stampin’ Up!’s colors and every time I use it I wonder why I don’t use it more often. I ran the cut pieces through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, then attached Smoky Slate Chevron Ribbon to both pieces and attached them to the card base with sticky strip. The sweet bow on the top was made using oval punches, hot glued onto a scallop circle, then hot glued to the back of the card base. Another scallop circle was stamped and punched to cover that up. The reindeer was stamped and popped up onto a large scallop to complete the card front.
Inside, Smoky Slate was cut to cover the inside panel. The little ornament was stamped and punched, using the Mosaic Punch. The sentiment was also stamped, punched and sponged on the edges. Another piece of Elegant Eggplant was put through the Big Shot to cover the holder and there you have it! A very easy gift card holder that can be modified for any holiday or special occasion.

What I like most about this gift card holder is being able to slip the bottom of the card base into the top to keep it closed and the gift card safely secured. I hope you will give this project a try! If you like it and don’t have the time to make one or many of them, just send me an email and I can get this one item taken off your To-Do List. Until next time,
Keep calm and craft on!
