Time to play with the Creative Crew

I am super-excited today to share my Creative Crew projects for February on Splitcoaststampers. Wow! They just keep the FUN challenges coming!

Eastern EleganceCCREW0214SF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM – Scrapbook and More Focus: Random Acts of Kindness Day is February 17. Send a RAK to someone this month after you share it with us. This can be anything!
I made this card and a Fancy Favor container to hold teabags for a friend of mine, who is going through a difficult medical issue. I sure hope she likes it!

Stamps: Tea Party
Paper: Eastern Elegance DSP, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate
Ink: Crushed Curry, Silver Encore
SU Tools: Big Shot, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Bigz XL Fancy Favor die (retired)
Finishing Touch: Aluminum Flashing, Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Artisan Embellishment Kit (retired)

Vivid VasesCCREW0214HF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM – Holiday Focus: No Brainer Day is February 27.
Make a project in the spirit of No Brainer Day: simple, easy, obvious or totally logical. Add a little bling for some elegance.

I am definitely CAS-challenged so I had to channel Mary Fish and this is what I came up with. Of course, no one does Mary Fish like she does, but I am not disappointed in this card. It was a quick card with plenty of detail.

Stamps: Vivid Vases
Paper: Island Indigo, Gumball Green, Whisper White
Ink: Gumball Green
SU Tools: Simply Scored Tool
Finishing Touch: Rhinestone Basic Jewels, In Color Dahlias

Window Card

CCREW0214CF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM – Catalog focus: punches! Stampin’ Up! has so many great punches that make our cardmaking that much more fun. Use a punch or punches to create a window card.

I was so intent on making the window card (and there are so many different styles of them, aren’t there?) that I didn’t quite read it correctly that the window should be made by a punch! My apologies to the Creative Crew staff! I did use a punch though! In the end, I really love this card!

Stamps: Forever with You, Banner Blast, Petite Petals
Paper: Basic Black, Sweet Sorbet DSP, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party
Ink: Black Stazon
SU Tools: Banner Punch, Window Frame Framelits, Petite Petals Punch
Finishing Touch: Candy Dots, Linen Thread

Me & You

CCREW0214DF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM – DSP/Color Focus: Watercolor Wonder designer papers (OC, p.23) or the colors: crushed curry, daffodil delight, gumball green, island indigo, smoky slate, tangerine tango and whisper white. Use this dsp or these colors with your latest purchase or free item from Stampin’Up!

Last but not least – my Watercolor Wonder card for yet another anniversary card! We have a few anniversaries (long story!) so they all have to be properly recognized (i.e. excuses to eat out and play with more paper!).  Don’t we all love to find reasons to celebrate? My kids tell me that there is a holiday here roughly every 6 weeks, so what is a few more for the Mageed household?!

Stamps: Perfect Pennants, Yippee Skippee
Paper: Watercolor Wonder DSP, Smoky Slate, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Gumball Green, Whisper White
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo
SU Tools: Heart Framelits, Scallop Topper Tag Punch, Bird Builder Punch, Decorative Dots and Scallops Embossing Folders
Accessories: Designer Buttons, Candy Dots

So, I am very happy to be on the SCS Creative Crew till April and hope you enjoyed the projects I made for them! If you did, would you take a moment and leave me a comment? I would love to know if you prefer me to show you the cards one at a time or all at once like I did today. The March challenge has been set and promises to be great, so please come back to see those! Till then,

Keep calm and craft on!

Debbie ♥

  1. Wow! What a great ensemble of projects, Debbie! The only reason I would say to blog these one at a time is so that each can be enjoyed and savored. Felt a little overwhelmed initially but have gone back through the post and read every word! I especially love first and last projects…. they have me thinking about possibilities and that is what this it is all about. I personally think you met each challenge with flying colors!!
