Welcome to the May Pals Blog Hop. This is the first hop on our new day – the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Before we celebrate the release of the new Stampin’ Up! catalog next month, we want to take time to say goodbye to our favorite retiring products. This month we are showcasing projects that feature stamps or accessories that are retiring along with the 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog on June 4th.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Amy Lazzell at Just A Thought…Cards by Amy, #10 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog.
So, are you enjoying the blog hop so far? I have spent the last 10 days since my return to Grand Rapids trying to get my craft room back in order as well as pull out my retired products and saying good-bye to some old favorites. I have been showing some cards made with them for the last couple of weeks and will continue to do so for the rest of the month as I am able. As sad as it is to lose them, I am so excited for the new products! I am itching to show you the incredible direction that Stampin’ Up! is heading!!
But, onto my card, you know how I love different folds, right? Well, this is so much fun and easy to do! Almost everything I used on this card is retired with the exception of the smaller pearls. Fabulous Florets is apparently no longer available but En Francais is one of those classic background stamps that I will never lose. It is so elegant! Here are a couple more views:
It’s All in the Details
- Stamp Set: Fabulous Florets, En Francais
- Paper: Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, Whisper White
- Ink: Primrose Petals, Gumball Green
- SU Tools: Floral Fusion Sizzlits, Square Lattice Embossing Folder
- Finishing Touch: Strawberry Slush 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim, Gumball Green 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon, Large Pearl Basic Jewels, Pearl Basic Jewels
Check the retired lists here: (Heads Up: Some items are sold out but let me know if you are interested in any items since I may have them ready to sell soon. )

Beautiful card. Love the use of color and will miss the Square Lattice EF as well. Nice job.
Stunning card, Debbie! So much incredible detail…those little pearls on the front are my fave!
So pretty Debbie. Inside and out. I love your bow. So unique and perfect. I am going to my first Convention this July and hope you are too! I hope to meet a lot of people whose blogs I followed for several years now.
