Happy Father’s Day!

Daydream Medallions, Delightful Dozen, Bird Builder Punch, Owl Builder Punch, Floral Frames Framelits

When I think of my father, the overwhelming fact about him that comes to mind is how incredibly hard he has worked during his 84 years. I really don’t have any memories of him that don’t have have him doing yard or house-repair work or gardening. If he sat after dark, he almost always had a book in his hand. He hates TV and I don’t think he has ever cared to go to a movie theater. He loved reading non-fiction books and really loved reading books on religion. These are MY memories of my father. He is now traveling in England so I won’t be able to wish him a Happy Father’s Day till he returns sometime this month. I know he knows how much we all love him! He has had a rough couple of years and deserves this chance to relax and have some fun for a change!

The Creative Crew challenge was “Use your favorite product in your favorite way! Make us fall in love with it too!” Can you guess my product? When contemplating what product I enjoyed the most, I really couldn’t pick one because I truly love almost ALL of them. Then it occurred to me what cardmaking would be like for me without the Big Shot and I knew I had my answer! I really don’t think I would enjoy making cards if it weren’t for this wonderful piece of magic!

  1. Amen on the Big Shot being the favorite product. It allows us so much more opportunity for embellishing our projects. And I LOVE all the new items for use with the Big Shot! Cute card!!

Loved what you said about Dad and could not agree more! I know he will enjoy hearing from you this week!!

    Love you….

  2. It seems someone has forgotten about the 15 minute snooze Dad would take right after dinner. I remember him getting up from the table and into the recliner with the newspaper he would go. Then slowly, inch by inch, the paper would get closer and closer to his face. Then, whala, the paper would be snoring… 🙂

Wonderful card, Deb. Dad will LOVE it! He is always so proud and appreciative of your cards to him.

    Love you! Welcome home!

  3. You are right, Denise! Thanks for giving me a good chuckle with that lost memory. Dad definitely had a right to those little naps though. Thanks for stopping by!
