Springtime Hello Simply Created Garland Kit was such a fun kit and is much more than just garland. I made this frame for my wonderful sister, Katy, for her birthday. I wanted to make her something that would remind her of the only Leadership convention that I have attended and was made so much more special experiencing it with her. I submitted this frame for the Creative Crew June challenge, which was to “celebrate your best friend on a scrapbook page or by making a gift for them.” I can’t imagine a better friend to share this great hobby with!

This card sketch is quickly becoming a “go-to” pattern for me. I used the same papers that were in the frame, then added some texture with the Fancy Fan and Scallops Embossing Folders. The Scallops Embossing Folder is retiring but will be staying in my craft room for a long time to come! I layered several ribbons, then applied flowers and the sentiment.

  3. I was THRILLED to receive this most special gift from the heart!!! I have been wanting to do a shout out for Debbie to show off the frame as well as the gorgeous gift bag and card, but knew I had to keep from exposing Debbie’s assignment for Creative Crew!! Now I can share it with the world!! Love you so much, Debbie! Leadership was so special because you were there!
