Welcome to the July Pals Blog Hop. This month we are featuring a New Hues Review. Let the new Stampin’ Up! In Colors for 2014-16 inspire you – Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, and Tangelo Twist. We hope you find great inspiration from our creations.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Mary Fish at Stampin’ Pretty on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
You know how much I love this Tea Party stamp set and I couldn’t wait to see how the new In Colors worked with it. This card started by stamping the flower from Choose Happiness with Mossy Meadow then heat embossing the leaf stamp with white embossing powder. I rubbed Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey in circular motion with a sponge until I got the look I wanted. The stamp from Tea Party was stamped in Lost Lagoon, the Oval Framelit was used to cut it out then another in Hello Honey. Have you started using the Fast Fuse adhesive yet? It is great for holding my many layers together and especially the ribbons! The new crochet ribbon is so much fun to use, so you will be seeing more cards with it from me in the future.
I wanted a gift to hold some of the great teas I got in Turkey so the Muslin bag was the perfect size. Lost Lagoon was used for the adorable Tea Party stamp and Hello Honey for the leaves, then a sweet little bow in Lost Lagoon to finish it off. It really doesn’t get easier than that!! I just added some ribbons around the cording and the precious tea cup from the “vintage” Tea Time Trinkets. Yep, I hoarded those for special occasions!
It’s All in the Details

This card and bag are stunning. Where have you been hiding your exquisite talent? I am not a fan of muslin bags and look at what you did with them! You have made my day:)
not just the card but that little muslin bag made me melt…
Two “tea-lightful” projects!
Love, Love, LOVE this set!! Debbie, I am so proud of your talent. You take each project to the ultimate it can be! The set has such a vintage appeal… it already resides on my pinterest boards!!
Ah Debbie…this is the first time on your site. What a delight (I didn’t mean to rhyme, but I like it). Your cards are beautiful. I also love the tea party set.
I am very envious of the muslin tea bag with Turkish tea…..I am in love with Turkish tea. I’m hoping to purchase the tea samovar, so it can be made properly.
Thank you.
Two beautiful projects, Debbie! Love the embossed leaves and the crochet ribbon…and that little bag is adorable…well done!
Debbie! These projects are so rich and regal. Love them both! TFS
LOVE the gift bag!!
Oh, Debbbbbbieeeeeeeeeee!!! I don’t know whether I love the bag or the card more!! Wait–I just love them both! I gotta make this for my great-niece (who I do the “teas” with monthly). She’ll be so excited! I really, REALLY love all the detail with the inks on your card–would have loved to watch you working with the inks to develop the colors the way you wanted them. And I love that crochet ribbon, too!
What an “ART-TIEST” (I still hear Cora saying that in the show “The Walton”) you are. You came up with this on the fly on a day with little inspiration and look what you accomplished! Just think how wonderful this would have been if you were in a good-Stampin’ day~! Super Duper Gorgeous. Send the tea to me when you are done. Just kidding!!
Debbie, I just love to see all the different and beautiful things you do! I would never even think of doing all that for a background, but oh boy is it rich and luxurious! And the little bag is so sweet. I’ll bet those teas are really de–licious 🙂
Hi Debbie,
I love your beautiful card and treat!!! 🙂 You’re right-that lace is scrumptious!
