Anyone who knows my husband will know how much he loves water! Every vacation we take is guaranteed to have it. Nothing makes him smile more than just knowing he is going to see it soon. So that is the reason behind this card. Wetlands is the absolute perfect stamp set for masculine cards!
This card started by masking off the bottom half of the card and sponging to my little heart’s content. I used Pacific Point for the sky (or is it water??) with just a little touch of Blushing Bride at the base. I then masked off the top and sponged a touch of Baked Brown Sugar. Finally I stamped the plants (anyone know the name of those?). The banner came next by embossing the first banner with Woodgrain Emboss Folder and the second was stamped with the beautiful Canada Goose and sponged on the edges. The little touch on the banners was made with the Chevron Ribbon turned inside out and looped and layered with the heart Wooden Element and Linen Thread. Keeping up with the banner theme, I stamped the sentiment in Baked Brown Sugar and trimmed it with the Itty Bitty Banners and popped it up with the banner Wooden Elements.

Just now getting to see Aly’s birthday card which I know he LOVED! Specially made for him! My guess is the goose has gone to the seashore… I see sand, water and skyline. I will call the plants “sea oats” just to continue with the theme. I specially love the use of the wooden elements and the linen thread… great detail for a masculine card. Happy belated birthday, Aly!
