The Striped Scallop Thinlit is a brand new item in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog, so I hope you noticed it by now. I was intrigued with it the moment I saw it, so you bet it was in my June order! There are various ways you can use it by using the entire cutout or just part of it. Or you can use it as an embossing tool of sorts to make a wonderful raised image in your background cardstock. I started this card by running all three of the colors chosen for the Pals Paper Arts color challenge this week (Basic Gray, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon) through the Big Shot. I don’t throw anything away so I definitely use the little cutouts, which was inspired by this card by Bev Gerard, a fellow Creative Crew Design Team member.
I absolutely love the new Bigz die Flower Frenzy and the biggest flower really makes a beautiful focal point for your cards. I layered it with the scallop circle punch and the sentiment from Blue Ribbon was stamped and punched with the 1 3/8″ circle punch. I versamarked the butterfly onto Pool Party CS from Polka Dot Pieces and heat embossed in white emboss powder. The sentiment from Sketched Birthday was stamped and then I used the Itty Bitty Banner (this is an indispensable tool) to cut it out in all three colors for a pretty touch. And, of course, a card truly isn’t complete till it has pearls, rhinestones, buttons, or candy dots!

I have not played with this thinlit yet and it’s a shame that I did not bring it to Hayesville with me because you have enabled me!! Lovely card, Debbie! I was not sure I would like the color combination but it is very classy! My favorite card is the Lost Lagoon flower, BTW! 🙂
Oh my GOSH! So lovely! I’m going to have to put that framelit on my wish list!!
I’m with Patti, this framelit is going on my wish list! This is a lovely card, Debbie and I think I’m picking Pool Party. Thanks for joining us this week.
i like them both equally – or should i have said “love” them both equally!
Such a striking result. I had just received this thinlet and immediately pulled it out to play with. This must have taken hours to create. Whoever receives this card will be awed.
Wow, Debbie! This is a jaw-dropping beauty! Amazing use of the color challenge, and beautiful design! Thanks for sharing with us at Pals Paper Arts this week.
