Flower Shop CASE from the Annual Catalog

Flower Shop

I CASE’d this card from page 67 in the Annual Catalog, using Flower Shop, Choose Happiness and Bloom with Hope. If you look at the original card, you may or may not be a little surprised. I am participating in a “boot camp” and this was one of the very first assignments we got this week. Of course, the motive behind it is to show how the Annual Catalog can inspire beginners who don’t know where to start when making a card. I do remember this feeling of total confusion on where and how to start and sure wish I had thought to copy something in the catalog! My CASE is a little different from the assignment because we were supposed to use a different stamp set, but I got permission to use a different stamp in the same stamp set. I wanted to show how it’s possible to make a very different card just by choosing another stamp. So I CASE’d the card loosely by making a sketch of the card, choosing the stamp I wanted and the colors, and then having some fun. How do you think I did? What card in the catalog will inspire YOUR next card?

  1. Really love this card! I love flower stamps of any kind and may very well have to case your card.

  2. I think you did great and you gave me a wonderful idea for my downline meetings. I never case the catalog but it is a tool that can be very inspiring. I only wish they had more samples. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Beautiful! I prefer yours over the catalog card! Your choice of color gave it the WOW factor.

  4. You did it again, this card is beautiful. You really amaze me with your color choices. Colors I would never think of, you put together and they are always beautiful. You put the one in the catalog to shame. You really should be on the design team for SU!

  5. Love this and since just got the one set cannot wait to try it–no dies so fussy cut I will—LOL—do not mind. Great card–thanks for sharing.

  6. A stunning CASE card, Debbie! My favorite detail has to be the Venetian crochet trim along with the linen thread… utterly sweet!!
