Paper Pumpkin, September 2014, Halloween

The September Paper Pumpkin kit finally arrived and was such a versatile collection of products! Did you hear what was inside that pretty red box?

  • Boo-tiful Bags Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Tangelo Twist Classic Stampin’ Spot Ink
  • 6 printed burlap bags
  • 1 sheet of die-cut tags
  • 3 sheets of patterned die-cut tags
  • 1 sheet of black stickers
  • Small bag of mini clothespins
  • String of orange sequins (2 yards)
  • Black Baker’s Twine (7 yards)
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals

Wow, that’s LOTS of product for $19.95, which includes shipping, and comes with instructions. I already made a few bags and my daughter confiscated them immediately, so I decided to use one of the remaining bags for a couple of cards. I took the bag and cut down the seam then fringed it on all sides. The cardbase was made with Rich Razzleberry, then added a layer of Tangerine Tango after giving it some festive texture from the new Filigree Frame Embossing Folder. The cut-up bag was centered on the card front. The sentiment stamp was versamarked and heat embossed in Tangerine Tango Emboss Powder then layered with one of the patterned tag from the kit. I added a couple of buttons (one large black and one smaller Pumpkin Pie) tied together with the black baker’s twine and adhered on top of a small piece of the orange sequins. It didn’t take any time at all to put this card together and I absolutely LOVE the texture that the burlap adds to this card.

So, I hear you thinking, “Wow! I haven’t joined Paper Pumpkin yet and would have loved to have this kit for my family and friends.” Well, guess what!
