Hello, Stampers! It’s Sunday and we have another fantastic challenge for you from the Paper Players, hosted by the amazingly talented Ann Schach. It’s CAS week with the added challenge to make a floral card. Since it is almost Spring and we are all ready for it (no matter where you are, I bet!) I couldn’t wait to play along with this challenge!
My card started with the stamp set, Mother’s Love. It is just perfect for a clean and simple card. I inked up the flower in Memento Black and the sentiment in Soft Sky, then colored the flower with Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi Blendabilities pens. Once those were completed, the Big Shot was used to cut around the images with the Labels Framelits, with another one as a second layer. The Lullaby DSP is one of my most favorites and great for Spring. I added two ribbons and layered it with buttons. But, wait! There is a little surprise! It’s an easel card:
I used the beautiful roses from the Artisan Embellishment Kit and sentiments from two retired stamp sets, Love You to the Moon and Best of Birthdays. This card could be used for lots of occasions but I really wanted a birthday card. Inspiration for the colors was from the Pals Paper Arts color challenge this week and I will be entering this card into their challenge as well.
I hope you’ll stop by and check out the rest of the Design Team inspiration over at The Paper Players. We would love for you to join us before the challenge closes on Friday, March 20th at Noon (PDT).

Your Mother’s Love card is really beautiful. I wish my Mom was still alive to make a card like this for her.
Oh Debbie how pretty! Who would have realised this was an easel card? Very clever. I love that flower and sentiment on the front label – I had overloooked that DSP too and it provides the perfect background for your panel. I also know what to do with my pink roses too 🙂
