I just have a quick post for you today! It’s been a busy week! I needed to make a sympathy card this week. I don’t usually keep those on hand, preferring to make them when I need them. Somehow they just feel more personal that way, don’t you think? Here is my card:
IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS
- Stamp Sets: Love & Sympathy, Best of Greetings (retired)
- Paper: Park Lane DSP, Old Olive, Whisper White
- Ink: Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss
- SU Tools: Decorative Label Punch, Chalk Talk Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Spring Flowers TIEF
- Finishing Touch: Rhinestone Basic Jewels
- Retiring (so order now!): Love & Sympathy Stamp Set, Park Lane DSP, Beautiful Wings Embosslits
This card was pretty easy to make. Instead of putting the stamped image on the top of the layers, I used the Chalk Talk Framelit (after dry embossing it with Spring Flowers TIEF), making a window to see the image below. I always try to put a butterfly on my sympathy cards because I just love the symbolism during this time.
There are still wonderful items on the Retiring List but they will be gone before you know. Click HERE to see the list of items. And don’t forget to check out the Weekly Deals on sale till Monday!
So, I hope you liked my card today! If you did, please take a minute and leave me a comment! I love hearing from you! And while you are at it, please sign up for email notifications (usually no more than 2-3 per week) and also “like” my Facebook page (I don’t flood your Newsfeed either). If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at Debbie@SecretStamper.com any time. Thanks for coming to my blog today! Until next time,
Happy Stampin’!

A beautiful Sympathy card Debbie.
The colours are very nice yet subdued.
Debbie, that is a beautiful card. I like the subtleness of it. The little butterflies are perfect for it.
Very ,very pretty
Very sweet and heartfelt, Debbie! And making a sympathy card especially for that occasion is something I like to do also. It is very therapeutic and soothing, especially when it involves a person that I have cared about.
What a stunning card Debbie….love the bold color!!
Debbie, this card is full of lovely details. I especially like the flower that is framed. Such a great idea. TFS!
