Hello, Stampers! It’s time for another Papers Players challenge!! But, didn’t I tell you that you would love the tic-tac-toe challenge last week? Wow!! Your cards were fantastic!! Now it’s time to avoid the ribbons and floral accents.  The very talented JoAnne is our host this week and she has chosen a masculine challenge for us. They certainly can be a challenge but I do enjoy making them for my family. Here is my “card”:
This card is a Double Pocket Treat Holder. My husband’s birthday is coming up soon, so I thought this would be the perfect card for him, and can hold a gift card, which will be to his favorite restaurant! I have also seen them hold small candies and tea bags. If you would like to make one, there are many videos on the internet to choose from.
Now, you will see that I started on this project before the new catalog went live so there isn’t a lot of new product here to show you. And I am reluctant to put ALL of my retired supplies away. I am still in the early stages of mourning (probably because I waited to start actually separating the retiring products till just a couple of weeks ago!), so just give me a little time. Of course, I never have any qualms about using retired products if I need them. That’s the fun of accumulating all of the wonderful Stampin’ Up! products in the first place! Feel free to use old or new products for your pocket treat holder! There are some products from the new catalog here! The tags were made with the Lots of Labels Framelits (#138281). I really love the shape of them because they will be very versatile! I have some ideas floating in my head that I will just have to work on soon! Also, the Expressions Natural Elements are wonderful! I am so glad that we can buy those separately!! The rest of the card is made with either older current or retired products and are listed below.
I hope you’ll stop by and check out the rest of the Design Team inspiration over at The Paper Players and take time to visit the new Guest Designers’ blogs and welcome them to the team! I know you will love their wonderful projects in the months to come. We would love for you to join the challenge before it closes on Friday, June 12th at Noon (PDT).

Aly is going to love this pocket card! Very masculine but also very image appealing with the neutral/natural details. Would his favorite restaurant include seafood, LOL? Off to pin….
Oh Debbie, this card is adorable! ( can a masculine card be called adorable?) I love the new wooden shape you anchored the card with! And I love that you carried the wood theme to the inside, too, great idea. Wooden shape, wooden ship, wooden tag, sweet!
Thanks for your funny, thoughtful blog and as always, spectacular cards.
LOVE this Debbie! How cute is this! love the wood elements too.
Love your pocket card…I am on the lookout for “fun folds” cards for my next club and this might be just the ticket! Lovely masculine creation! I, too, have been lazy about putting away my retired stuff, but I have done my stamps….just haven’t found a place to put the retired In Color ink pads yet! That will be my project for this week no doubt!
What a perfect card AND gift! And bonus is that you will hopefully get to join him for dinner at that favorite restaurant! 🙂 happy birthday to your hubby
What a cool gift card holder, love the little pockets! Great colors and design.
This is so very, very cool, Debbie! Love the colors and patterns and the ship across the center is the perfect look.
I love everything about this, fabulous!
You are so wonderfully creative, Debbie! I am sure your hubby will love this. Totally masculine.
I love this little treat holder Debbie – such a special presentation! The combination of sea paper and ship, along with the wooden die cut element is gorgeous – a great mix of old and new! I struggle to sort and part with retired stamps too – I think only a shortage of space gets me in the end! A great project for my masculine challenge this week!
Debbie, your hubby will cherish it! So many details and and love put into this fantastic gift card holder! XX
What a delightful treat holder!! The elements you have chosen are wonderful and it’s always fun to make something special for a loved one!!
Love it. That stamp set has really made some awesome projects.
