Garden in Bloom for PP255

Garden in Bloom, Bordering Blooms

Hello, Stampers! I am in my craft room for the first time this weekend. I wasn’t really feeling inspired and thought I would just play with the card kit that was just delivered on Friday. However, I went to the Paper Players and there was a fantastic TAG challenge! I immediately thought of the new Garden in Bloom that was also delivered and this card flew together in no time at all. I so love it when that happens!

I first opened up the new Pretty Petals DSP pack and picked the Mint Macaron pattern. When I looked closely at it, I saw a resemblance to the stamp in Bordering Blooms and knew I wanted to bring that out. For the little border on the left, I just flipped the paper over and there was my color scheme. After cutting my tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, I stamped the border on the bottom first, then stamped the sentiment on the top. There was the little bit of debate with which one of the flowers from Garden in Bloom to use, but in the end, it just had to be that big beautiful flower! Stampin’ Up! made the 2 step stamping easy with little arrows to line up the layered stamps, which I really appreciate. Lastly, I just had to choose my embellishments and this card was done in absolutely no time at all.

pp255I will be submitting this card to the Paper Players. Miss you all!!
