Retro Rubber and Remarkable You

Hello, Stampers! It’s Tuesday and our photo inspiration challenge at Retro Rubber is quickly coming to an end. You have just 3 more days to make a card to submit and we really hope you will if you haven’t already! I know you have some lovely stamps that haven’t been inked up in awhile!!

I hope you’ll stop by and check out the rest of the Design Team inspiration over at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.  We would love for you to join us before the challenge closes on Friday, July 31st.

I wanted to make one more card for the challenge but this time I went to a brand new stamp set that I have been dying to use, Remarkable You. I love the big blossoms that it has! The sentiment is from the ultra-popular Tin of Cards and then brought in an old favorite, Papillon Potpourri. I love blending old and new stamp sets on my cards!!

Remarkable You, Tin of Cards, Papillon Potpourri

This card was lots of fun to make, and only needed a little more time for watercoloring with my blender pen – but that’s the fun part so I totally think it’s worth it. I almost left the flower alone but decided it needed a little color behind it, so I fussy cut the flower out and made another panel for the branch of leaves. It looks much better that way! The Pool Party panel behind it was textured with my current favorite TIEF, Spring Flowers – it may be retired but absolutely love it.

So, I hope you liked my card today! If you did, please take a minute and leave me a comment! I love hearing from you!
