Hello, Stampers! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend. I certainly did! It is wonderful having my son home from college finally and having beautiful weather, not hot and not cold, was icing on the cake. I actually had to wear a sweater on the first day of July! But, that’s the best part of Michigan weather. Whatever you like – or don’t like – isn’t around that long. We were back to nice, warm temps by the weekend. So far, no really hot weather has come our way, which I am particularly happy about since I just had to replace our air conditioner yesterday! Whew, just in time!
You all did such great cards for our patriotic challenge! Loved all of them!! For the next challenge, we have a very versatile sketch. I really love this one! Here is my card:
Awash with Flowers was a stamp set that was introduced when I first started stamping a few years ago. I loved it but somehow intimidated me to the point that I was afraid to get it till it was about to retire. I bought it then and it sat on my retired shelf all of this time, never used. While I was reorganizing my stamps recently, I decided that I had to ink it up and this was a great challenge to use it. The only problem was that I didn’t like the stamp as much in the horizontal position, so I used the sketch in the vertical position and love how it turned out.

I love Awash with Flowers too. Sometimes my images don’t always line up as well as yours, but it still looks fine. Love your layering. Looks fabulous!
What a great flower stamp! I love that it is graphic! This is a great color combo – I am not really digging the watermelon wonder as much as I thought so I am hoping I warm up to it! And your card is helping me! Love the trio of flags and flowers! Beautifully done and I would call this clean and layered!! Thank you for your comment! I cracked up! Well Debbie, you are not the only one with un inked stamp sets, I have a few of my own, LOL!! So it’s really great that you decided to ink this one up, your card is awesome. I’m a bit intimidated by solid stamps, I can never get a good impression.
