Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for July. This month we are excited to show off the new 2015 – 2017 Stampin’ Up! In Colors, namely, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. The In Color products include card stock, designer series paper, ribbon and other embellishments. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Peggy Noe at Pretty Paper Cards, number 22 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
I wanted you to see the versatility of Mint Macaron, when paired with Tip Top Taupe. I love both of these colors and when they are together – WOW! This card was inspired by Marianne Skjelstad with this card. My measurements are slightly different than hers so I will give you mine.
- Tip Top Taupe: 11 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 3 1/4″, 5″, 6 3/4″, 8 1/2″
- Mint Macaron was cut with largest Floral Frames framelit then cut in half, edges were sponged, then adhered to the card base
- Fussy cut around the Floral framelit, then sponge the edges of the card base
- Cut the next smaller Floral Frame Framelit with the Mint Macaron DSP paper, cut in half, sponge edges and adhere to card base
- Panels were cut: Mint Macaron 5 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ and DSP 5″ x 1 1/4″
- Stamps were inked with Tip Top Taupe, cut with Oval Framelits or the Extra Large Oval Punch and adhered
If you have any questions about this project, just leave me a comment. I know you will enjoy making this as much as I did. If you don’t have the Floral Frames Collection Framelits, they are on SALE in the Bonus Deals this week! They are a great addition to your framelit collection.
The next stop is Lynn Kolcun at Stamping With Avery’s Owlery, number 24 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!

Oh my gosh Debbie, what a fabulous and unique card!!! I’ve never seen one cut this way so I thank you for sharing your measurements with us. I love this SU set, it’s just perfect for masculine cards, yours is so beautiful, I love that it can stand on it’s own and look awesome.
Tank you so much for sharing.
Unique is the best word to describe your creation. Love the choice of colors, stamp set and DSP. Thank you for taking the time to explain how to make this lovely card. I must go try to CASE it.
Absolutely fantastic, Debbie! Would never had thought to do this but will definitely CASE this fold and cut. Love your sentiments within the ovals each side. Great masculine card. Is the button the sun? Cute,
Debbie! LOVE IT! You have done it again….
Thank you.
What a beautiful card. We have been challenge by our local demonstrator to do a card with uneven edges and this layout will work perfectly. Thanks for the inspiration and I will be trying this soon to meet her challenge at our next monthly stamping workshop.
This looks AMAZING! The Color combo is wonderful but the design is so different!
Such talent. Lovely and unique. Lots of work but really pays off. Nicely done!

Hi Debbie,
Could you please tell me how the bird is attached to the card? Is it just attached in the middle of the oval–if so, just glued or dimensionals? I love your card. Thanks, D.
Hi, Donna! Thank you for your kind comment! I used Fast Fuse for my adhesive. Let me know if you have any other questions.
