Hello, Stampers! It’s a wonderful weekend here in Michigan! The temperature is up into the 80’s so no one will be able to complain about not getting any summer this year. We might even get to 90 again this week. Summer is here!
I have had a busy week! We are in the final stretch of summer before my kids go to college – my son will be starting his senior year and my daughter her freshmen year. So, I hope you will bear with me as I struggle to find any spare time in my craft room. I did manage to play one evening with the baker’s box and wanted to share them with you. The one above is using some of my new Holiday Catalog products. Just think how fun it would be to fill this box with homemade (or not) treats for friends, coworkers and/or kids! Cute, eh? I sponged one side but you can do all of them or none. I made a cute little “roof” with a 3″x6″ piece of Brushed Silver cardstock which was scored at 2 1/2″, 3″, and 3 1/2″ then textured with the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. A sweet Watermelon Wonder bow was threaded through the two-holes and a simple little tag was made from the new stamp set, A Little Something. Fast and fun!
When I got the Brushed Silver Cardstock out, it reminded me that I also had Brushed Gold and it got me thinking. So I cut another box out and trimmed it with the new Glimmer Black Paper (another Sneak Peek) that I have been asking for! Love it!!! You might also notice the new Glitter Ribbon that comes in Gold and White that will be a “must have” this holiday season. The flower was the easiest one to make because I scrunched the new Gold Foil Doilies around that beautiful antique brad! I will definitely be doing that again – so fast and easy!
So, I hope you liked my projects today! If you did, please take a minute and leave me a comment! I love hearing from you! Loving those cute 3D projects! So adorbs!
Is the clothespin black glimmer-paper, too? I can’t quite tell. I(‘m going to save all those teeny leftover skinny strips just for that if you did!) Love that clothespin and the metallic thread behind it.
Happy Crafting and Stamping, Debbie!
That’s exactly right, Cindie! I just “fast-fused” a little strip right onto the clothespin. EZ peasy! Great idea to save your little pieces of glimmer paper, too!!
These are so sweet and a great idea for all holidays. Ok. I’m in. SU, send me the Bakers Box punch ASAP! The holidays are coming! Wonderful wonderful!
Such adorable baker box projects! I think my favorite is the first one but only because it makes me think of bird houses. But, then I think of the gorgeous black and gold boxes and I think of the possibilities for various reasons of celebration. Thanks for sharing these great projects… Off to pin so I don’t forget….
Super cute! And I didn’t realize you are in Grand Rapids – I’m in the Southwest corner, just south of St. Joe/Benton Harbor!
Love the baker’s box with the roof, so cute.
The house with the Happy Scenes is adorable!!
