Bohemian Circle of Spring

Circle of Spring, Tin of CardsHello, Stampers! What do you do with your scraps of beautiful DSP? Please don’t tell me that you throw them away! I like to take them and make more cards with them and no one knows that I used scraps at all! I first shared this technique with you last year when I made this Christmas card set. I thought it might be fun to do this technique using  the Bohemian DSP, which is absolutely gorgeous. I aim to use every last piece of it.

It’s All in the Details

Boho Chic

  • I first cut the pieces and lay them out on the background. The DSP was cut at 3.5″x4.75″ then cut into random-sized pieces.
  • Circle of Spring is a beautiful stamp set but not just for Spring! I stamped it then used my markers and just colored the leaves and flowers in coordinating colors.
  • A banner was cut then textured with the Zig Zag TIEF. Blackberry Bliss ribbon was used on the banner and a bow.
  • The sentiment was stamped and cut with the Bitty Banners framelit, then curled with a bone folder.

  1. Oh Debbie, this card is just stunning, I loved the other cards too, what a great way to use your DSP scraps. I NEVER throw them away, I don’t have a lot of DSP but what little I have, I use wisely.
I love the rich, luxurious colors of this card, it’s just gorgeous.
Thank you for sharing the tutorials, very helpful when trying to measure the papers.
    Maria Rodriguez.

  2. I love the rich colors of this DSP, too. You did an awesome job using spare parts, love it! It’s so gratifying to the thrifty crafter in all of us!
And how DO you make such perfect bows? Video please!

  3. WOW! This is a gorgeous card! I love this dsp anyway, and I am a NUT about using scraps. In fact, I just sat and made 14 cards with scraps left over from some of my stamp camps, this past Friday. Some of this paper was used, as well as card stock and other dsp. You have done wonders, using this beautiful wreath and I love that Hello on the banner sentiment. Just pefect!

  4. Very pretty card! Really like the color scheme & how it all “pops”!

  5. Fantastic use of color and scraps. So much texture to add to the vivid color palette. Well done…
