Are you ready for a Flurry of Wishes Yet?

Flurry of Wishes, Seasonal Frame Thinlits

Hello, Stampers! It’s been such a busy week! We had both of our kids home from school for 4 days and I was one happy mama! The time just flew by but we had a wonderful time while they were here. The weather is turning on the cold side – just a little bit – and has reminded us that winter will be here before we know it. I have the snowplow company all signed up, everybody has warm coats and mittens so we are good to go! All of these preparations got me wanting to play with a brand new stamp set from the Holiday Catalog called Flurry of Wishes. I love anything with snow on it so this one was a “must have” – especially since the two smaller snowflakes have a coordinating punch.

It’s All in the Details

  • This card started with Pool Party card base, which was then layered with Lost Lagoon. Then, I cut two pieces of vellum from the new Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack (trees and the snow)  and adhered them down in the middle so the tape wouldn’t show.
  • The large snowflake was stamped then colored with Pool Party and Lost Lagoon markers. A small Iced Rhinestone was added to the middle, then the image was cut with a circle framelit and layered onto a square Lost Lagoon cardstock.
  • Three of the small snowflakes were stamped in Lost Lagoon then colored with the white gel pen. The coordinating punch was used to cut them out and a small rhinestone was placed in the middle of each. The middle snowflake is popped up with a dimensional.
  • Lastly, the snow thinlit was cut from both Whisper White and Lost Lagoon. The Fine Tip Glue was used to layer them together then glued to the card.FMS 209

  1. Beautiful card, Debbie. Love the colors on the main snowflake. I have been playing with this stamp set (or was prior to WCMD) to make the sweet snowflakes that were shown during the on live streaming last July. You just reminded me to get back to it, LOl… Off to pin…

  2. I love this color for a Christmas card. Remember when everyone only thought red & green were the colors Christmas cards should be made with? Love this one

  3. This is beautiful! I love the “snow” having snow! And 2 sheets of vellum for the perfect look…..your are so inventive! The stitched dies really add to the texture and dimension of this card.

  4. Beautiful color combo, Debbie and a fabulous card! Those snowflakes are so cool! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  5. Gorgeous!! Beautifully colored – and I LOVE the way you have added “snow”! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
