Hello, Stampers! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! This one has been pretty busy for me so I haven’t been able to really play in the craft room (boo!). But, that’s OK – I still have a couple of cards that I made recently that I would love to show you. Now that September is over, I can tell you that I don’t remember a whole lot of it. There was lots going on here and the only reason that I made any cards at all was because I participated in a 30 day card challenge. I still can’t believe I finished it. The first week or so I had no inspiration and just worked on kits. I knew that would get me going because I would ultimately want to step them up. It worked! By the second half of the month, I was back to making cards and enjoying myself. I learned so much by doing that challenge and would encourage you to do one as well!

Butterfly Basics, Hexagon Hive Thinlit

Anyway, making a card everyday can destroy your craft room, I’m tellin’ ya! There was one day that I said to myself, “Debbie, there is no room on your craft table, so it’s time to clean up before you start today’s card.” One of the piles on my table was pieces that I had stamped and/or cut out but didn’t end up using, so I went through the pile and recycled a good portion of it. The rest were good pieces that I knew I could use so, when the cleaning was all done, I made these cards from the pieces and only added embellishments and the sentiments. I really like how they turned out!

All about Sugar, Butterflies Thinlits

The common denominator between these two cards? It’s Butterflies Thinlits – isn’t that interesting? I do love butterflies but thought it was interesting that both cards made from scraps had butterflies on them. Do you have a favorite type of stamp that seems to become a recurring theme in your cards?

So, I hope you liked my cards today! If you did, please take a minute and leave me a comment! I love hearing from you.
