Hello, Stampers! I have looked at each of your submissions for our Anything Goes challenge and am totally blown away at your creative cards. I find it amazing how you all can achieve such beautiful cards week after week. Our last challenge of the year is a holiday one (of course!) and Christmas Bauble stamp set just had to be inked up one more time! I love this beautiful ornament, don’t you?! It came out a couple of years ago and I definitely haven’t used it enough. Because it just had to be colorful ornament, I brought out my alcohol pens and enjoyed a nice, relaxing time coloring while watching my favorite TV show, The Voice. (Anyone else keeping track this season??) So, here is my holiday card:
It’s All in the Details
- This was a fun and easy card to put together and can be done in many color schemes. I chose Cherry Cobbler as my card base then topped it with Whisper White and Old Olive, which was embossed with the Boughs & Berries TIEF (Holiday Catalog).
- Next, I stamped the ornament with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with the alcohol pens until I was happy with the results. Obviously, I enjoy coloring because the results are super rich in color! Once I was satisfied, it was cut out with the Ovals Framelit.
- The sentiment from Holiday & Wishes stamp set was inked in Cherry Cobbler, punched with the Decorative Label punch then Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive card stock.
- The Finishing Touch was spritzing the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon with alcohol, then wadding it into a ball, allowing it to dry, then making it into a beautiful bow. More ribbon was placed under the focal image. A small pearl was placed in the middle of the ornament. The sentiment was popped up with dimensionals and this card was done!

Absolutely STUNNING. Love that ornament stamp set and have not used it this season… shame on me. Gorgeous bow… still must try the alcohol spritz to obtain the crinkly look. I would say off to pin but it has been already, LOL…. 🙂
