Balloon Celebration for Any Occasion and Blog Candy Winner #2

Balloon Celebration, Birthday Blooms

Hello, Stampers! I have a fear of CAS (clean and simple) cards, but I am needing a card for a new baby. Balloon Celebration was the perfect stamp set for the job! This card was definitely fun to make but I still want to add more “stuff” to it. Oh, how I wish I enjoyed the white space! LOL

It’s All in the Details

  • This card is A2 dimensions. Thick Whisper White cardstock is fantastic for your card base!
  • Basic Black and Soft Sky cardstock were used for the layers.
  • The balloon strings stamp was inked up and three were punched out and layered onto the image. I used the corner rounder on the corners.
  • The sentiment was inked in black and the little dots were inked in Soft Sky. I am totally in love with those little dots – definitely using them again!
  • The Finishing Touch is the cute little bow made with the White Jute Ribbon and attached to the balloon strings image with a glue dot.

  1. Such a sweet card, Debbie! It may be out of your comfort zone, but you handled it well! Little texture images are really becoming the bomb, ya think? Off to pin…

  2. Love it! There is a lot of white space ( for you LOL,) and this card is still perfect. Is your tummy still in flutters from it? And did you shred that jute ribbon for that bow? I thought it as bakers twine…..after seeing this beauty I can’t wait to ink up this set after work today! TFS!!!!!

  3. Thanks, Cindie! My tummy is still fluttering but I like the card due to the black accents. Yes, I DID shred the jute ribbon for the bow. It’s a great accent that adds texture. Hope you enjoy using this SS as much as I did!

  4. Debbie, your card s so sweet. I love everything about. I love the balloons and the ribbon. The white space is just right. Great balance to your card. Hugs,Ellen Hinds
