Hello, Stampers! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I hope you had a chance to see all of the wonderful cards from the last challenge and congratulations to the Fab Five! It’s now time for a stamper’s favorite challenge – Anything Goes!! All we require is that at least one of your stamps be over a year old – and please note that they do not have to be “retired” stamps. Any stamp, either current or retired, is eligible for our super fun challenge so they can see some love (and ink) once again! Take my card as an example, The background stamp, Sunflower, came out with the 2011 Annual Catalog and retired in 2014. The sentiment came from So You, a stamp from the 2015 Occasions catalog, and the little flowers in Grateful Bunch are from this year’s Occasions catalog and still available to purchase till May 31.
This card started when my daughter asked me to help her make another banner for her college apartment. It’s finally time to take down “Let It Snow”! LOL She loves sunflowers and I remembered this background stamp. It’s one of those stamps that I “just had to have” but never found an occasion to use it. In the end, it was too big for her needs but there it was – just looking at me, begging for ink and paper! I am not too experienced with background stamps so you will have to be kind with your comments. I hate covering them up! I tried finding smaller flowers that would go with them and finally settled on the ones in Grateful Bunch. It sure helped that the three smaller ones have a coordinating punch! The sentiment is from a Project Life stamp set and this card proves that you can use them for more than memory-keeping.

Hello Debbie: I’m finally having some free time to go around and comment on the blogs, it’s been a busy morning, all grandkids related, love it!!!
But your Sunflower is stunning, I love this flowers, I love their size and their color and the fact that Cardinals and other gorgeous birds come to my feeders to eat the seeds.
Love the cotton ribbon, it’s so textured and adds such a wonderful detail to your layout and the paper you chose is wonderful to showcase this lovely blooms.
Thank you for sharing.
Maria.
Gorgeous card! It definitely makes me Smile 🙂
That is so cool Debbie that you make banners for your Daughter’s apartment. My nephew is always asking for crazy things for his room – latest was sneaker bunting.. Thanks for your comment on my card, I love making shakers. I love your card, the colour palette is lovely and works so well with the big sunflowers. Cx
Debbie what a beautiful card , tfs ,

Beautiful monochromatic card–very striking!
Beautiful card Debbie!
You made me smile with this card…. absolutely stunning. I wouldn’t have thought to cover up that gorgeous sunflower but it works with the layers and textures. WOW!
Love the combination of the large background sunflower along with the smaller flowers from Grateful Bunch. Using the Soft Suede (which really comes across as black, so that could be an alternative color for anyone who does not have SS) along with Hello Honey is very striking. And the “smile” was the reason for purchase of this PL stamp set… so useful for any occasion! Already pinned… 🙂
No need to worry about covering up the backround stamp-you added just the right amount of other stamps to totally balance everything. Love the card.
I love this card! I popped over from “Stampin’ Pretty’s” blog. Have put you in my favourite list!
Thank you:-)
