Best Blossoms Look Lovely Adorned in the New In Colors

RRCB39

Hello, my Stampin’ friends! There’s summer in the air here in Michigan! How about where you are? We had some absolutely fantastic cards submitted for the last challenge! Did you get to see them yet? You really do need to see them! We continue on to our next challenge that is also about flowers! It’s that time of year, right? And considering we had a very late snow just a couple of weeks ago, flowers are sorely needed here. I had no problem finding some flowers to stamp at all! I chose two stamp sets, Best Blossoms (circa 2006 according to the date on the stamp) and Friendship Flowers (2006-2007 Annual Catalog). This was when I had just discovered stamping, buying stamps but didn’t have a clue – or the supplies – to use them. I seriously doubt that these two stamps have ever been used! Isn’t that such a shame?? Well, not only did they get inked up this weekend, they got the brand new In-Colors from Stampin’ Up! There isn’t a bad color in the bunch! I used Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum for my card below.

Bold Blossoms, Friendship Flowers, Botanical Builders, Stampin Up

There is more that I could do to this card but decided to keep it on the CAS side (for me). I really love the sentiment from Friendship Flowers! The new Layering Square Framelits are absolutely wonderful! You will have so many possibilities using them. The flower and leaves from Botanical Builder Framelits are also a great way to add some interest to your card.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS

  • Stamp Sets: Best Blossoms, Friendship Flowers
  • Paper: Playful Palette DSP Stack, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum
  • Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum
  • SU Tools: Layering Square Framelits, Botanical Builders Framelits
  • Finishing Touch: 3/8″ Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Iced Rhinestones

  1. So, so pretty! And yes, that sentiment is so nice. (Best Blossoms was just re- discovered for me, too, after sitting on a shelf, in a box, for years. LOL, we are on the same wavelength.)
And the sponged flower really pops with the outside edge so white! LOVE!
I’m worried there aren’t enough rhinestones, tho…..giggle!!!! Do you need me to send some?
    Off to CASE!

  2. Lovely card with luscious details! You are right, the colors are wonderful. The sentiment is highlighted well by keeping the design CAS!

  3. Hello Debbie: I love this sentiment and how expresses the feelings of friendship so beautifully.
The way you frame it and all the sweet details really make this card so elegant, specially the sponged flowers with their white edge look truly gorgeous.
Love that pattern paper and the fabulous new colors.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Hugs,
    Maria.

  4. I still have Friendship Flowers, too, and used to have Best Blossoms but didn’t use it much so let it go. It’s so fun to use the old stamps in a new way. Love what you’ve done, using the flower as a background pattern and focusing on the sentiment. Great colors, and your die cut flower looks fabulous!

  5. Summer is here too in NYC Debbie!! Yay!! I love your card, that sentiment is so true. The colour scheme is lovely, creating a background with the flower stamp..we are twins this time 🙂 Cx

  6. Stunning card, Debbie! Already pinned! Love the colors together… we were in an IC mood, weren’t we? I have that sentiment as well but from a much older stamp set… now to find it, LOL.
