Large Numbers Framelits, Graduation, It's My Party, Stampin Up 2

Hello, my Stampin’ friends! My husband Aly is a pediatric bone marrow transplant physician and one of the best parts of his stressful job is seeing his patients not only survive but succeed! Last Monday he brought home a graduation announcement from one of his patients who graduated high school. Of course, the date for the Open House had already passed (the invite had gotten buried in a mountain of paperwork, I’m sure) so he wanted me to make him a card and send a check quickly. I jumped at the opportunity to get into my craft room! I already had an idea of what I was going to do because the Large Numbers Framelits are absolutely perfect for these special occasions.

It’s All in the Details

  • The cardbase was ready to go since I keep plenty on hand, already cut and scored.
  • I pulled out the recently retired (so glad I stocked up!) It’s My Party DSP Stack and cut it to 4″x5 1/4″
  • Another piece of Whisper White was cut to 3 7/8″x5 1/8″ then cut the 2016 with the framelits
  • After the numbers were cut, then it was put through the Big Shot again in the Lucky Stars TIEF (pulled this idea from the invitation that had a card front of stars)
  • The 1″ square punch was used to cut a square then the tassel from Balloon Framelit was the perfect touch for the mortar board
  • The Congrats from the retired Expressions Natural Elements (another item stocked up in my stash) was colored with the Gold Wink of Stella

I had also needed a graduation card for the daughter of a friend of mine. They took her on a trip of a lifetime and just returned home. Since I liked the way the above card turned out, another card was made very similarly, using the cutouts of the numbers.
