Fun Making Sisterly Stampers’ Swap Cards from the New Catalog

Hello, my Stampin’ Friends!

Thank you for coming to see the great swap cards I have for you today! I hope you have all been having a wonderful summer! I sure have!! It has gone incredibly fast and it will probably finish even faster than it started. But I accept that because my kids are home (most of the time) and we just returned from a trip of a life time to Italy. WOW! I almost didn’t come back!! It was a hard decision but you know what?! My craft room was back in the good ole USA and they don’t have Stampin’ Up! in Italy. Missing my kitties also figured in that decision as well. Oh, well! Michigan is a wonderful place to live – but I do plan to go back to Italy someday. If you have “liked” my Facebook page, once I am able to play with my photos, I promise to put some on my Secret Stamper page. Make sure you go visit to my page soon!

Sisterly Stampers’ Swap

Before I left for said vacation, the Sisterly Stampers (the name of Katy McGloin’s – my wonderful sister and upline – and my downline group) decided that it would be fantastic fun to make and swap cards using items from the new catalog. Boy, we had such a fun time doing this that we have decided to swap cards at least a few times a year, probably around new catalogs. The swap rules were to make a card front (4″ x 5 1/4″) and current products.

Designer Tin of Cards, Stampin Up, swap

For my card, I had used this DSP Card Set technique to make quick and fun holiday cards back in September 2014. I wanted to try this again, using the new Blooms & Bliss DSP. It is absolutely my favorite in the new catalog (so far)! The sentiment from the new Designer Tin of Cards stamp set was stamped on the new doilies. The new ribbons were layered and adhered. Butterflies were cut and blinged up and my swap cards were done!

So, I know you are itching to see what all of the participating stampers made, so here they are (in no particular order). I put them on card bases when they arrived. I have included links to their websites or public galleries if they had one. You should treat yourself to seeing the other gorgeous projects they have made!

  6. I had a lot of fun doing this too! It was fun to get a new card in the mail! Everyone did such an awesome job. They were all beautiful! I would love to do this again. It gives me a good reason to be in my room playing. I had never heard of making just the front, but it sure makes sense to do it that way. What a great idea!
