Retro Rubber Be Thankful and Mingle All the Way with Stampin’ Up!

rrcb51

It’s time for another fun challenge over at Retro Rubber. I hope you saw the beautiful cards submitted for our last challenge using the wonderful Autumn inspiration photo. The next challenge is to make a Thanksgiving or thank you card using the pretty colors in this photo. I love to send Thanksgiving cards, don’t you? It is truly one of my most favorite holidays since it’s all about family. I went through my holiday stamp collection and decided to use Mingle All the Way and Gratitude for Days. When I looked up when they came out, I was surprised that they both came out in the same 2014 Holiday Catalog.

There’s lots to “be thankful” for in my life right now. We have had some great news in our house lately so there will be some celebrating for all of our wonderful blessings. I have learned that even bad events in our life can bring something good. You just have to look for it!

  1. Debbie, what a sweet and gorgeous card, love that paper and how you took it’s colors to decorate your panel. The dies are beautiful and the sentiment just fits the theme perfectly. There is nothing like family and friends around us, in the good times but also in the not so good ones.
    Hugs,
    Maria.

  2. Hi Debbie, love your card, that background paper is lovely and a perfect match to the challenge colours. Your sentiment made me smile, I love Thanksgiving, it is such a happy time for me. I get to be ‘adopted’ into people’s homes and families for a couple of day, what’s not to love about that? Clairex

  3. Debbie, I love the bright colors of fall mixed with the sweet colors of Wildflowers. Would never have thought to use that combination but it is magic. Yes, I am being reminded to look for the good out of the bad and to be grateful for the blessings bestowed. Now to pin this pretty card..

  4. How lovely to see you in the gallery this week Debbie – and happy Thanksgiving wishes to you too! That sentiment is so fun and I love the co-ordination of the paper with the leaves and pumpkin. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!

  5. Seriously gorgeous! I love that paper! This card shines from the die cuts to the wooden acorn! You had me at the outside of the card but I love the inside touches! Wowza!!

  6. Debbie, your card is beautiful! I love the DSP you used for your background. The sentiment die cut with that die is just perfect. Love the inside too!
