Masculine and Feminine Moon Baby Cards Made with Love

It’s apparently baby season in my area because I have three baby cards that needed to be made pronto! I have two to show you today and the third will be posted next Tuesday. Moon Baby is a stamp set in the Occasions Catalog and I just received it in my last order. All of the images are great but I loved this one especially, so I was excited to ink it up.

BABY BOY CARD

It’s All in the Details

  • The idea of doing a baby blue card wasn’t thrilling me so I went through my DSP and decided to use the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP. This DSP is so pretty and perfect for a baby card. So Saffron card base was layered with Bermuda Bay and DSP.
  • The focal image was stamped with Stazon ink then watercolored with So Saffron and Bermuda Bay. After it dried, I decided to add Daffodil Delight watercolor pencil to the moon and blended it in for just a little more color depth. The image was then cropped with the Layering Square framelits, a layer of So Saffron was cropped and layered underneath then popped up with dimensionals.
  • The “sweet” sentiment from Cupcake Cutouts Thinlits was cut out in Bermuda Bay. I decided to pop it up so cut it out again with craft foam, glued them together and added it to the card.
  • The “baby” sentiment is from Moon Baby, but I masked off the “hello”, inked up with Bermuda Bay then punched it out with the Word Window punch.
  • Finishing Touch: Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon was tied into a bow and placed on the card with  a glue dot, then Enamel Shapes were placed.
  • Inside: More DSP was cut and adhered, then Whisper White was cropped with a Stitched Rectangle Framelit. I stamped the sentiment and stars from Made with Love then adhered inside. This card was done and so fun to make!
