I gave myself some craft therapy (and even some craft retail therapy) over the last couple of weeks and April was a great month to do it. It is a busy birthday month for me so I had a great time thinking of those people I love and making them a birthday card. Well, I made a bunch of cards, whether they were someone I know or not! LOL I will be showing you some of those cards in the weeks to come and hope you see something that you’d like to try for yourself.
It’s All in the Details
- The card above started out as a graduation card, believe it or not. Well, after stamping the background balloons, I started looking for a sentiment and the new stamp set Super Duper just seemed perfect for it.
- The card base is Dapper Denim (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). There is a layer of Whisper White under the stamped background image (Balloon Celebration in Daffodil Delight and Dapper Denim), which was cut with a stitched rounded corner framelit. Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon was adhered to the layers then all onto the card base.
- The large sentiment is great, isn’t it? It is from the Super Duper stamp set in the current Occasions catalog. I inked it up in Dapper Denim, cut it down to the size I wanted, then rounded the corners with the Project Life Corner Punch. It was popped up with dimensionals and adhered to the card base.
- Balloons from Balloon Adventures were stamped and punched with the Balloon Bouquet Punch, popped up with dimensionals then Brights Enamel Shapes were added for the Finishing Touch.
Inside: Daffodil Delight was cut and layered under Whisper White that had been cut with a stitched rectangle framelit. The sentiment from Super Duper was inked up with Dapper Denim as well as the little star stamps. The balloons from the same stamp set were inked in Daffodil Delight to complete this fun card!
I am including a second card and think it’s pretty self-explanatory. The supplies are listed below but if you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a comment.
