Nothing’s Better Than Coffee and Cookies for the Alphabet Challenge

Fun Card Featuring Nothings Better Than Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!

It’s time for a new challenge at the Alphabet Challenge! The theme is “H is for Hungry.” I am so excited to see what you all come up with because you are so creative! I had to think about this one but, after going through the new catalog, the new Nothing’s Better Than bundle had lots of possibilities! How can you go wrong with coffee, chocolate and cookies, right?

Fun Card Featuring Nothings Better Than Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!

My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project

  • This A6 card was lots of fun to create! I didn’t have much of a plan when I started but it still came together pretty quickly. Don’t you just love it when that happens?
  • The card base is Bumblebee cardstock, cut at 9″ x 6 1/4″ and scored at 4 1/2.”
  • Then, I chose the patterned DSP from Playing with Patterns, and cut it to 6″ x 4 1/4.” Whisper White cardstock was cut with the Stitched Rectangle then backed with Pear Pizzazz cardstock.

Card Details

  • Now, the fun part! I stamped the sentiments for the coffee cup in Early Espresso. The “Today is a” and “Kind of Day” from the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set are stamped onto Bumblebee cardstock. I jumped for joy when I found the “coffee” in the Rise & Shine stamp set! Don’t they looked great together? Once they were stamped using the Stamparatus, I cut them with the Cup of Cheer die, which coordinates with Rise & Shine stamp set.
  • Next, I two-step-stamped three cookies with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso, then cropped them out with the coordinating die. Of course, cookies have to be served on a plate! I grabbed a scrap of pear pizzazz to cut it out with a scalloped circle die. Then, the edges were curled up slightly like a plate, of course.
  • I cut the sentiment dies using Crumb Cake cardstock. Once they were done, I decided that the “coffee” and “cookies” needed to stand out a little more. So, I cut them out again in Pear Pizzazz and Bumblebee and staggered them on top of the Crumb Cake..
  • The finishing touch was adding just a few enamel dots.
