Love of Leaves All Occasion Card for the Alphabet Challenge

All Occasion Card Featuring Love of Leaves by Stampin' Up!

Alphabet Challenge has a new theme for you – “Q is for Quote.” I love quotes and am known for using them on my kids to prove my point. Once in a while, I can even say them right! LOL My son has even told me that he would love to have a book of my favorite quotes so I was thinking of journaling them. But how do I make a card with my quotes without a stamp?? Well, luckily I had one in my non-Stampin’ Up! stamp collection! I paired it with the Love of Leaves stamp set and the Meadow Moments embossing folder. Didn’t it turn out nice?

My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project

  • First, this 6″ square card started with Pretty Peacock cardstock, cut at 12″ x 6″ and scored at 6.”
  • I used Forever Greenery DSP to cover the card base.
  • A 4 1/2″ panel of Whisper White was dry embossed with the Meadow Moments embossing folder. I haven’t used it before but this won’t be the last time – Love it! Lastly, I layered it onto Pretty Peacock cardstock.

Now, the FUN Part!

  • Using a Gina Marie Designs die, I cut out “Blessings” with two colors of cardstock – Just Jade and Pretty Peacock – and adhered them together.
  • I stamped the quote in Pretty Peacock, then cropped with the Stitched Rectangle die. Once popped up with dimensionals, I then placed the “Blessings” above it.
  • The beautiful large leaf was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and cropped with both coordinating dies, then I popped it up with dimensionals.
  • Lastly, my Finishing Touch is a pretty little gold bow made with gold trim.

  1. I have been looking at your blog for years. I love all your cards. I too love quotes but never thought about doing them in an Art Journal. Thanks for the idea and thanks for all the blog posts. I enjoy them very much.

  2. I love a good quote, too, and this is card inspirational! The colors and textures are lovely. May I ask where you purchased that quote?

  3. Such a pretty monochromatic card! Your sentiment quote makes it even more special. Have a great week and thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday. Karen
