Cardz 4 Galz has a new challenge starting today – Summer Fun! Honestly, I think we are all ready for a real summer this summer, right? Because we didn’t get one to speak of last year, I almost couldn’t remember what we like to do! But, one thing I know we love to do is head to the lake – either our favorite local one or Lake Michigan – and an ice cream dessert is always part of the plan. I have been waiting to use the Sweet Ice Cream for warm weather and it’s finally here!
Did you see my Retired Product Sale yet? I need to let a lot of much-loved products go so I hope you will check it out HERE. Once you finish, I hope you visit our Cardz 4 Galz Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!
My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project
- Firstly, this square card measures 5 3/4″ and made with Pool Party cardstock that was cut to 11 1/2″ x 5 3/4″ and scored at 5 3/4.”
- After that, I made a panel with White cardstock and ran it through the Old World Paper embossing folder. Then, I layered it onto Pale Papaya cardstock.
Now, the FUN Part!
- When I cleaning and going through my craft room, I found the Sprinkles Embellishments that I had never used. So, I decided to use them as the inspiration for my colors.
- Firstly, I stamped all of the ice cream images, then fussy cut and punched them all out. Then, I cut out a large oval with Pool Party DSP.
- After that, I stamped the sentiment and cropped it out with the Treasured Tags Punch.
- Before I adhered the panel to the card base, I wrapped it with the Pale Papaya Ribbon and tied a single loop bow.
- Finally, the sprinkles are added to the ice cream cone, the sentiment and the right corner.
I am submitting this card to the following challenges:
