Dahlia Days All Occasion Card for the Alphabet Challenge

 
Alphabet Challenge has a new theme today – “Z is for Zig Zag.” This was quite a challenge for me but I remembered the die in the Basic Borders die collection. What was really cool is that there are two that would have been perfect for this card but I was interested in using the one with a scalloped edge. Then, I pulled out Honeybee Home and Dahlia Days bundles to make a card. I do like how it turned out since the Pale Papaya color brights up the designer paper for a pretty spring card.

• Firstly, this A6 card started with Pale Papaya cardstock, cut to 6″ x 9″ and scored at 4-1/2″ on the 9″ side.
• After that, I cut the Heart & Home designer paper to 4″ x 6.”
• Then, I took a scrap of white cardstock and cut it with the fancy edge zig zag die and took a thin scrap of white cardstock and glued it to the edge of the designer paper.

Now, the FUN Part!

• Once the card base was done, I started stamping the flower from Dahlia Days and cropped them out with its coordinating die.
• After that, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink and cropped it out with the Hippo & Friends die.
• Then, I decided to make the little banner with the zig zag die and trimmed it down to fit the sentiment piece.
• Finally, every card just looks better with a little life on it so I stamped the bees, colored them with Stampin’ Blends and Wink of Stella on the wings (sorry you can’t see that!) and added a few little Classic Matte Dots for some bling.
