A True Beauty All Occasion Card for the Alphabet Challenge

True Beauty All Occasion Card by Secrets To Stamping

Hi, Crafters!

We have a new alphabet letter to start at the Alphabet Challenge today – “D is for Die Cuts.” I just know you all are going to want to play along because it’s almost impossible to make a card without dies these days, right? So, I pulled out a brand new bundle that I just received last week, True Beauty. Although the stamp set is gorgeous, I decided to show you the lovely designer paper that coordinates with the dies, so I will just have to show the stamp set in a later post.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Alphabet Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along before the deadline of June 2nd!

My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project

  • Firstly, this A6 card started with white cardstock, cut at 12″ x 4-1/2″ and scored at 6.” After the card was completed, I did have to trim it down to 11-3/4″ due to the background die.
  • Then, I cut the lattice die with thick white cardstock and layered it onto the gorgeous Awash In Beauty designer paper. Once that was done, they were adhered to the card base.

Now, the FUN Part!

  • So, as I was planning this card and looking at all of the beautiful papers, I saw that the dies cut out the flowers and leaves on one of the patterned paper. How cool is that!?! So, I trimmed one of the sheets (you get two!) down and began cutting out the images till they were all cut out. I have lots left over for future cards!
  • Then, the idea came to add back some of the little diamond shapes that came out of the background die, so I popped them up with mini dimensionals across middle of the card.
  • Once that was done, I arranged the flowers and leaves, popping up one of them with dimensionals.
  • Then, I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and cropped it out with the banner in Stylish Shapes.
  • Finally, I added some Polished Pink jewels to the flowers and just a couple of the Soft Succulent to the background.

I’m sharing my card with these challenges:
