Simply Succulents Thank You Card for Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge

Simply Succulents Thank You Card by Secrets To Stamping

Hi, Crafters!

Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge starts the May challenge today and you can create anything you want using your favorite dies! I am in the weird phase of my craft room right now – transitioning from the old catalog but still haven’t gotten my order for the new catalog stuff yet (arrives Wednesday woohoo) – so I went to the bundles that are carrying over. So, I found Simply Succulents and really enjoyed making this card.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along before the deadline of May 31st!

My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project

  • Firstly, this card is A6 size, so I cut Daffodil Delight cardstock to 9″ x 6-1/4″ and scored it at 4-1/2″ on the 9″ side.
  • After that, I cut the Hues of Happiness designer paper to 4″ x 5-3/4,” then ran it through the Painted Texture embossing folder. Once that was done, I layered it onto white cardstock and attached the panel to the card base.

Now, the FUN Part!

  • Firstly, I stamped, colored and cut out the container.
  • After that, I cut out all of the plant pieces and colored them (listed below).
  • Then, I cut out the stitched rectangle with the Heart and Home paper and made a little one for the plant to “sit” on.
  • Next, I took the die from Perfect plant and cut it from white cardstock, since I wanted it to look like it was hanging on a wall. After that, I cut a small piece of Smoky Slate baker’s twine for a fun little element.
  • Finally, I stamped the “thanks” sentiment and cropped it out with the Double Oval Punch. I couldn’t figure out a place on the card to put it so decided inside the plant was the best place to put it.

I’m sharing my card with these challenges:

  7. I too thought it was paste that you tinted with ink reinkers. I love it. I have that folder so will try it with coloring. Another idea is to use the same folder if you have a Big Bee nest. I used the folder to give the bee nest texture with any color CS
