My Card Today
My card for you today is a Card & Box – all from one sheet of cardstock! As soon as I saw this fun fold, I knew I wanted to try it. After I made the card base, I used the Flowers of Friendship stamp set and paired it with the Rings of Love designer paper. Although you can’t send it in a regular envelope with a gift inside the box, it really would be a cute gift to give someone in person, perhaps in a coordinating gift bag!

My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project
- This Card & Box fun fold was inspired by Beth McCullough in last week’s Pals Blog Hop, which you can see HERE. Because her blog doesn’t list the dimensions, I have listed the measurements for my card down below for convenience.
Now, the FUN Part!
- Cardstock measurements:
- Card Base: 6-1/2″ x 11.” Then, on the 6″ side, score at 3/4″ on both sides. After that, on the 11″ side, score at 3-1/8,” 7-3/4,” 8-1/2,” 10,” and 10-3/4.” Then, cut away till the 6-1/4″ on the top and bottom (creates the card) and the tiny little ends (creates the tabs for the box).
- Layers for the front of my card (Beth’s were slightly different): Cardstock Layer: 2-7/8″ x 4-3/4″ and DSP Layer: 2-3/4″ x 4-5/8″
- Layers for inside of my card: Cardstock Layer: 2-7/8″ x 4-3/4″ and white cardstock Layer: 2-3/4″ x 4-5/8″
- Cardstock (or you can use DSP) for box: 1-1/4″ x 4-3/4″
- Once I cut all of the layers, I stamped the sentiment from Flowers of Friendship and cut it out with the stitched rectangle.
- Then, I stamped four flowers from the same sentiment as well as several leaves, colored them with Stampin’ Blends and punched them out with the coordinating Flowers & Leaves punch. Once done, I popped them up with dimensionals and added the Brushed Metallic Dots.
- Then, I cut and embossed the Night of Navy cardstock with the Spring Flowers embossing folder, tied a bow with the Shimmer Ribbon and adhered it to the box.
- Inside the card, I stamped the flower border and layered the cardstocks to the inside. Since this would be a cute gift for any occasion, I will add the sentiment later.
I am submitting this card to the following challenges:
