Fond of Autumn for Make My Monday

Hi, Stampers!

Make My Monday starts a new challenge today – Autumn Flora and Fauna – and it is the perfect theme for me right now. Autumn just began here in Chicago, which I was really looking forward to. One of the things that I have discovered about Chicago is the abundance of beautiful parks and outdoor areas to appreciate nature. So, it was easy to find the inspiration for this Fond of Autumn stamp set, which has great coordinating dies.

• Firstly, this Fond of Autumn card is so close to being an A2 size that you could absolutely make it one. However, my Soft Succulent card base is 5-3/4″ x 4-3/8″ (that’s what I get for creating a card from the inside out).
• I ran Gray Granite cardstock through my die machine with the Stitched Greenery background die, since I thought it was a perfect choice for an autumnal card. After that, I used the Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends marker and colored in each of the leaves. Once I finished that, I cut the panel with the Deckled Rectangle die and layered it onto white cardstock.

Now, the FUN Part!

• As I stated above, this card started with me having fun coloring the stamped image with Stampin’ Blends, then it was cropped out with the coordinating die.
• After that, I stamped the sentiment but I did the banner stamp first then stamped the sentiment to make sure I got it exactly where I wanted it.
• Finally, I added the big Braided Linen Trim bow and adhered it with a glue dot. Then, I added the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds.
