My Card Today
My card for you today is a fun fold card that I have been seeing quite a bit lately, with Beth McCullough’s card (HERE) being the decision-maker to give it a go LOL! I changed it slightly to make the front panel smaller. Ordinarily I would change the dimensions of the card base, but I have had some comments lately about using A2 card dimensions, so I kept it on the small side (for me). For my card today, I used one of my favorites – the Quiet Meadow bundle – with the Boughs of Holly designer paper to make a Thinking of You card.
My secrets to making this Quiet Meadow project
- Card measurements:
- Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and 11″ x 4-1/4″ then scored at 2,” 3-3/4,” 7-1/4,” 9”
- DSP: 7/8” x 4-1/8″ (2)
- Inside of the card DSP: 3-3/8” x 4-1/8”
- DSP: 1-7/8” x 4-1/8” (2)
- Firstly, I added the slim side panels of DSP to the back piece of the card base.
- Then, on the 11″ card base, I scored and burnished the score lines and added the DSP.
- Finally, I added the panel to the inside panel of the card.
Now, the FUN Part!
- After that, and the card base was complete, I took one of the other patterns from the DSP and cut out the leaf from the dies a few times. Then, these were layered onto the front flaps.
- Once glued to the flaps, I stamped the sentiment and flowers. Then, I used the Stylish Shapes circle die to cut it out and glued it to the left front flap. Also, I cut a square for the inside of the card to write a personal message and glued a leaf branch over the bottom corner.
- Finally, to add just a little life to my card, I cut out a butterfly in white cardstock, colored it with the Soft Succulent blends marker. Then, I sponged Sahara Sand ink to the edges and added the pretty iridescent pearls to the butterfly and a few of the flowers.

Love your card and the fold. I don’t have this stamp set but I’ll be CASEing eventually. I love Noah’s shoes! What does Noah call you? Have a blessed day.
Thanks, Karen! Noah calls me Oma! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Debbie….
A beautiful, thoughtful card just like you. The paper you chose lends itself to serenity and pairs so well with the greeting, stamp set and overall presentation. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
P.S. Thank you for your sweet family thoughts a the end of your posts. Noah is sure getting big.
I so appreciate you realize many of us are A2 folks using the medium SU envelopes. It would help if you stated what size each card is so we’d know if we have to adjust or if it will fit. Thanks for understanding!
Thanks for your comment! I am so happy that you appreciate my efforts. I really do try to state whether it’s A2 or A6 as well as give you the size of cut cardstocks to help with that as well. However, making your own envelopes can be a solution if you don’t want to purchase larger ones.
Great fold and beautiful P.paper -love the sentiment too.Thank you for joining us at TTCRD.
