Hi, Stampers!
Make My Monday starts a new challenge today – “Things with Wings.” Since I am smitten for most anything with wings, this theme was so much fun for me, and wanted to use Honeybee Home again to make a calendar card. Also, I hadn’t used this particular paper from the Awash in Beauty paper pack and it’s my absolute favorite one to make a CAS (clean and simple) card.
Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Make My Monday Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My secrets!
- Firstly, this A6 card started with white cardstock, cut to 9″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 2-1/4″ and 4-1/2″
- After that, I cut the beautiful designer paper to 4″ x 5″ and layered it onto Mossy Meadow cardstock.
- Before layering it onto the card base, I stamped the sentiment from Honeybee Home in Mossy Meadow ink. Note: make sure you only add adhesive to the panel on the bottom half of the easel so that the card fold into an easel.
A2 size paper instructions to make this card…
- Cut white cardstock to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and score at 4-1/4″ and 2-1/8.”
- Cut the designer paper to 5″ x 3-3/4″ and layer onto cardstock.
And now, the fun part!
- After I finished the card front background panel, I stamped the bees, then colored them lightly with Stampin’ Blends (listed below) and Wink of Stella on the wings. Once that was done, I cropped them out with the coordinating dies then popped them up on the card front with mini dimensionals.
- CARD INSIDE:
- On the inside of the card, I made a panel with another patterned paper.
- Then, I added the Taylored Expressions mini calendar, popping it up with dimensionals which holds the easel in place when the card is open.
- After that, I stamped the sentiment and cropped it out with stitched rectangle die.
- Finally, I remembered that I still had the adorable little Bumblebee Trinkets (now retired) so I added those around the calendar for the touch of bling every card needs.
I’m sharing my card with these challenges:

Wonderful calendar. I make an easel calendar every year with my friends, and this is a fun one!
Love the colors, DSP, the bees…everything! I need to get working on my 5 desk calendars for 2023 and my card group members. I’ll be using the Days to Remember Stamp Set. Don’t know if I’ll make one for myself because I want this one…lol!
Darn, I forgot to scroll to the bottom! What birds come to the feeder. He is such a sweet, handsome child even from the back 🙂
Love the calendar card! I am not sure why you have 2 different seats of directions?? Lucky you to have a sweet little boy watching the birds!!
Hi Dee Ann! Thank you for your nice comment!! I have decided to start giving the A2 directions for any A6 cards I make since some crafters have been asking for them. Now, you can choose which size you want to make when CASEing my cards.
I love this beautiful card/calendar, Debbie. The recipient will love the bright, fresh flowers every day of the year. Enjoy your day!
Hi Debbie, I like your calendar card, I have made some small ones in the past, and went down really well at my local church Christmas craft stall. Could you please let me know the size of the calendar tab you used? Cheers and Thankyou, Marilyn in the (very wet) UK
