Hi, Stampers!

Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge starts a brand new “Anything Goes with a die” challenge today! Since I’m sure you have a huge pile of dies just begging you to use them, I hope you will choose a set that you have neglected (or just bought!) and play along. I made this card with the Splendid Thoughts bundle, which has been one of my favorites from the annual catalog. To make it even better, I made a very easy (my favorite!) Z fold and love how it turned out.
Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My secrets to making this project
- Firstly, to make the card base and layers, I used the following measurements:
- Card Base: 6″ x 12″ and scored at 3″ and 6.”
- Layers:
- Cardstock: 5-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ (2) and 5-5/8″ x 5-5/8″
- DSP: 5-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (2) and 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″
New! A2 Dimensions for this card are…
- Card Base Cardstock: 4 ¼” x 11,” scored on 11” side at 2 ¾” & 5 ½”
- Panels Cardstock: 4” x 5 ¼,” (2) 2 ½” x 4”
- Panels DSP: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8,” (2) 2-3/8″ x 3-7/8″
And now, the fun part!
- Because I used the beautiful Splendid Day designer paper, I really didn’t want to do too much to cover it up! So, I kept it simple and that made this card come together quite fast.
- Firstly, I stamped the leaf stamp and colored it with Blackberry Stampin’ Blends and cropped it out with the coordinating die from Splendid Stems.
- After that, I cropped out the other elements with both white and Blackberry Bliss cardstock.
- Then, I cut the scalloped rectangle from Scalloped Contours and began building the “leafy arrangement” with the Blackberry Bliss container popped up over them. Finally, to complete it, I tied a simple bow with white Bakers Twine.
- CARD INSIDE: Next, I cut out a second scalloped rectangle and placed it right behind the one on the card front. The only problem I had was that there is a cut little bee that would be partially covered by the rectangle, therefore I found the vellum butterfly cutout in my stash. So, all I had to do was cut out the detailed butterfly from white cardstock and my little problem was solved.
- Finally, I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with the banner from Stylish Shapes. Then, I placed it so it would be visible whether the card was open or closed.
I’m sharing the card with these challenges:
