SNEAK PEEK! Beautifully Happy Thank You Card for the Alphabet Challenge

Beautifully Happy Birthday Card by Secrets to Stamping

Hi, Stampers!

The last Alphabet Challenge starts today and the theme is “T is for Thanks.” Since we all need to have thank you cards, especially during the holidays, I know you will want to play along with us. For my card today, I am using a brand new Sale-A-Bration Beautifully Happy stamp set, which means that it’s free with a $100 order. What a great stamp set!

Once you finish here, I hope you visit our Alphabet Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My Secrets!

  • Firstly, this A2 card came together easily and quickly, using thick white cardstock for the card base, cut at 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2.”
  • After that, I cut Soft Sea Foam cardstock to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and ran it through the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and adhered it to the cardbase.

And now, the fun part!

  • Once that was done, I stamped the floral stamp twice in Mossy Meadow ink. Then, I stamped the first one with the stamps that filled the flowers (Blushing Bride ink) and leaves (Mossy Meadow ink, second-generation stamping) and inked just the flowers on the second one. After that, I fussy cut the center flowers and popped them up with dimensionals.
  • After that, I cropped it out with a stitched rectangle die, then layered it onto Mossy Meadow cardstock.
  • Then, to even out the card front, I chose the Blushing Bride designer paper from Dainty Flowers and matted it with Mossy Meadow, as well.
  • Finally, I added a couple of the brass butterflies and a single pearl to the center of the flower.

I’m sharing my card with these challenges:

  1. Beautiful pastel shades and a fabulous image and paper.Noah looks as though is is taking great card in choosing a coloured pencil

  2. Debbie, I love this stunning card using this set with the two-step stamping. Coloring is not my favorite thing to do. So glad you and Noah got out after the storm for a fun outing. Enjoy your day.

  3. Love the library pic and the card! That SAB set is my new fave for TY cards! Such pretty colors here… so there’s my next combo to try!

  4. I really like how you made this card. Thank you for a wonderful easy to read tutorial.

I read on page 13 of the Sale a-bration that The Beautifully Happy stamp is free with a $100 purchase.

  5. I love this card. I don’t do so well with stamps that fill in the color. I never seem to line it up well, so I stamped the flowers and embossed in gold, then colored everything with my water painters. I also used a larger “Thank You” and used a couple glue dots to pop it up on the pink side and glued the other side to the white. Thank you so much for sharing this idea. You make such beautiful cards.

  6. I am working on making this card today. I like the colors very much. I saw the colors you used but Looking at the photo on my computer the leaves look so much lighter than Mossy Meadow. Did you use Mossy meadow on your first stamping?

Thanks, I have all my pieces cut and ready.

  7. Debbie. I love your card. What did you stamp your first stamp with. Did you use memento

  8. Thanks for your comment and question, Joan. I used Mossy Meadow for the floral image, but Memento would also be good to use. Then, to fill in the leaves, I stamped off with the same ink color to give it a lighter look.

  9. Love the beautiful card. It happened to come up on my Pinterest suggestions when I was taking a moment to browse. Will have to come back to your blog to explore more of your beautiful ideas.

  10. Every card you design is a “keeper”, and I look forward to your next work of art! I love this card!
