Fragrant Flowers Card for Happy Little Stampers Dies Challenge

Hi, Stampers!

We have our first challenge of the new year at Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge starting today, and the theme is always Anything Goes with Dies. My card today was made when I was having fun with some new products, Fragrant Flowers and the Favored Flowers designer paper, which was one of the free Sale-A-Bration products this year. I just love when designer papers have dies that cut out the images. Then, I inked up one of the sentiments from Irresistible Blooms to create a birthday card.

My secrets!

• Firstly, this A2 card started with thick white cardstock, cut at 5-1/2 by 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4.”
• After that, I cut the two pieces of Favored Flowers designer paper with the Deckled Rectangle die and cut them on the diagonal. Then, I adhered them to black cardstock and glued to the card base.

And now, the fun part!

• So, the rest of this card just made itself! All I did was cut out the floral image from the Favored Flowers designer paper with the coordinating die. Then, I cut out another one with black cardstock and glued the two together. After that, I popped it up with dimensionals over the middle of the card.
• Then, I stamped the sentiment from Fragrant Flowers and cropped it out with the coordinating banner die.
• Finally, I added a simple baker’s twine bow and a few Classic Matte Dots.

Then, on the inside…

• So, the inside was very easy with white cardstock cut with the Deckled Rectangle die and layered onto black cardstock.
• Then, I stamped the sentiment from Framed Florets in black ink.
• Finally, I added one of the floral images that was only partially printed on the DSP – can’t waste, right?
