Sending Smiles with Gorgeously Made Dies for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

Hi, Stampers!

This month, the theme is CASE the Catalog. We hope you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals share with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal. I was going through the catalog and found a card that “spoke” to me (page 102 in the AC), so the idea of CASEing it for the blog hop was a no-brainer. Using the Gorgeously Made Dies, I paired it with the beautiful Masterfully Made designer paper collection to create this pretty card.

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, this A2 card started with Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, cut to 4-1/4″ x 11,” and scored at 5-1/2″.
  • After that, I cut white cardstock to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and the Masterfully Made designer paper to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″.
  • Using a distress tool, I ran it along the edges of both pieces, then glued the white cardstock at an angle to the card base and placed the DSP straight onto the card base.

And now, the fun part!

  • Once that was done, I cut the other side of the DSP to 2-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ and ran it through my die cutting machine with the “spiral notebook” edgelit and popped it up with dimensionals at an angle onto the card base.
  • After that, I cut the Gorgeously Made leaf die with both Pretty Peacock cardstock and vellum. Then, I cut the other Gorgeously Made leaf branch with vellum, as well.
  • I stamped the Sending Smiles birthday sentiment with Lost Lagoon ink, then cropped it out with the sentiment die in the Gorgeously Made die.
  • After that, I cut a small piece of Bright & Beautiful DSP (3-1/4″ x 1″) and wrapped the white baker’s twine around it, and tied it into a bow. Once I adhered the leaves to the card base, I popped up the sentiment panel with dimensionals.

Then, on the inside…

  • After that was done, I cut the Pretty Peacock cardstock to 4″ x 5-1/4″.
  • Then, I cut the white cardstock to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ and stamped the leaf stamp from the Inked & Tiled stamp set in Lost Lagoon along the left edge.
  • Finally, I stamped the Sending Smiles sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink to finish off the card.

I’m sharing my card with these challenges:
