SNEAKY PEEK! Autumn Leaves Seasonal Card for MMM Challenge

Autumn Leaves Card by Secrets To Stamping

Hi, Stampers!

A new Make My Monday challenge starts today with the theme “Three Images of Anything.” I just know you will love this challenge since three is the “magic number” on cards, in my opinion. So, if you look at my Autumn Leaves card, you will see three leaves, as well as three branches, and three Speckled Dots. Today I am using a brand-new bundle from our holiday mini catalog and everything in this suite of products was a must-have for me. Why, you ask? Not only are the stamps and coordinating dies great for any time of year, but the 6×6 designer papers are beautiful fall designs on one side and great foil designs on the other. Then, it also has a wonderful 3D embossing folder and speckled dots as well.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit the Make My Monday Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, this A2 card started with Mossy Meadow cardstock, cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4.”
  • Then, I made a background panel with two of the foil pieces of the All About Autumn designer paper, cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8.”

And now, the fun part!

  • Once that was done, I started on the rest of the elements for the card front. Firstly, I wrapped the wonderful new natural ribbon around the panel and taped it to the back of the panel to secure it. Then, the panel was added to the card base.
  • After that, I stamped the pretty leaves with Mossy Meadow ink and cropped them out with the coordinating die. Then, I cut out the Copper Clay foil designer paper with the dies in the collection that coordinate with the leaves. I think they are very versatile so I used them in a different way and love how they turned out.
  • Once that was done, I stamped the sentiment from Autumn Leaves in Mossy Meadow ink and cropped it out with the Nested Essentials die. And, after that, I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock to 2-3/4″x1-1/2″ and ran it through the new Exposed Brick embossing folder to add even more texture.
  • Then, I cut 6″ of the new Natural Ribbon and easily pulled it apart, so it would add more interest under the sentiment – love how this turned out!
  • Before adding all of these elements to my card, I cut 5″ of the Copper ribbon (the two ribbons come together!) and glued it down with the frayed natural ribbon. Then, all of the layers were added and the sentiment was popped up with dimensionals.
  • Finally, I added the three Speckled Dots to the sentiment.

I’m sharing my card with these challenges:

We went to a local train station that has a coffee shop close by to see how many trains we could watch. We lucked out by also seeing a classic car show as well!
