It’s time for a new Creative Creases challenge. Firstly, thanks to all those who participated in the last challenge! If you haven’t played in the challenge yet, I hope I can inspire you to join the challenge that’s starting today! I have such a “beary cute” card to show you today! My Card Today
Today’s project is a Pull Tab Flip card and the first one I’ve ever made. I liked making it so much that I made a second one very similar (but different) and will share that one soon. This fun fold seemed like a good one to pair with the Beary Cute stamp set and the A Walk In The Forest designer paper. This paper has some beautiful patterns AND Stampin’ Up! will make a donation for each one they sell – love that!

My Secrets!
Let’s start with the card base…
- Firstly, I followed this tutorial by Stamping Jill – her photos and video are very helpful.
- The card base was cut to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
- Then, the background panel was cut with cardstock 3-3/4″ x 5″ and DSP at 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ and popped up with dimensionals onto the card base after cutting it with a small rectangle die into the middle for the pull tab.
- Pull Tab: Cardstock (I wanted it to be a contrasting color) – cut to 2″ x 6″ and scored at 1-7/8″ and 2-1/4″
- Front Panel: Cardstock was cut to 3″ x 4″ and DSP at 2-7/8″ x 3-7/8″
- Inside Panel: Cardstock was cut to 3-1/2″ x 3″ and white cardstock for a personal message
Now, the FUN part!
- Once that was done, I cut out the bear from the A Walk In The Forest paper. Then, I stamped the scarf and hat in Pretty Peacock ink and cut them out.
- Then, I stamped the Warm Wishes sentiment from the Beary Cute stamp set and cropped it out with the die from the Autumn Leaves dies.
- After that, on the opposite side of this front panel, I stamped the snow with Balmy Blue ink. Also, I stamped the tree and little bear on a scrap of white cardstock and fussy cut. Then, I glued them onto the panel. After that, I adhered this panel to the Pull Tab in the section between the score lines at the very bottom of the front panel.
- Finally, I stamped Merry Christmas in Pretty Peacock ink and adhered the Personal Message panel to the Pull Tab at the top. Then, I cut the Pull Tab with the (retired) Angled Tag Topper punch, pulled it through the opening in the panel, and added the new Balmy Blue Sparkle Ribbon through the hole. Then, to hold the flip to the card base, I added a strong adhesive along the bottom of the inside panel, which allowed the front panel to flip when I pulled the Pull Tab.

Adorable, Debbie…. both the card and Noah. The colors, the fold, everything is perfect. I’ve never done this fold before. Guess it’s time. You’ve planted the inspiration seed. Thank you.
This is such a fun card with that pull tab mechanism! And you’ve decorated it to be so beary darling!😄 The Balmy Blue and Pretty Peacock with the white are so pretty together, and I love how you die cut a bear from the DSP as well as stamping one for the inside!
Looks like Noah had a great time at the beach! My son and DIL live in Grand Haven, so I imagine Sawyer will get to play at the beach regularly when he’s a little older. For now, he’s enjoying his turtle-shaped sandbox😊.
I love this fun bear card, Debbie. The bear bundle was one of the first on my wish list. This card is so adorable and I can’t wait to make one. Noah is so handsome as always! Enjoy your weekend!
I love all your projects, they are so original. Thanks a lot for sharing with us your creativity. You are a great source of inspiration.
I love seeing what type of fancy fold you’re going to create next! This one is wonderful, Thanks for joining us at The Paper Funday Challenge!
P.S. Noah is simply adorable and I’m glad to see he’s enjoying some of his last opportunities at the beach before the snow flies in Chicagoland!

Love it and will have to try soon. Noah’s love of the beach shows on his face for sure! Thanks for entering your card at the PIP challenge.
So wonderful! I love how the image panel pops up, really fun and creative! Chicago does have some nice beaches and always love the city view! We only just walk by it and take in the views when we visit the city, never actually played in the sand but it definitley looks like lots of fun!
Thank you so much for joining in at my Crafty Wednesday challenge!
