Autumn Leaves Gratitude Card for the Alphabet Challenge

Hi, Stampers!

A new Alphabet Challenge starts today with the theme, “N is for Nature.” So, we can’t see how it inspires you! We have the beginnings of autumn here so you will see how the wonderful season (my favorite) is inspiring my card today. I can’t get enough of the new Autumn Leaves bundle and used it with a super easy fun fold.

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

• Firstly, this A2 Z Fold card started with 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4.” Then, it was folded with a mountain fold at the 1-8″ score line and a valley fold at the 4-1/4″ score line.
• After that, I made a panel to run down the front with cardstock cut to 1-7/8″ x 5-1/2″ and designer paper cut to 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2.”

And now, the fun part!

• So, the fun part begins by stamping the beautiful maple leaf in Pool Party ink. Then, it was cropped out with the coordinating die. After that, I cut out the leaf veins with Pretty Peacock cardstock and adhered with liquid glue to the leaf.
• Once that was done, I dry embossed a scrap of Pool Party cardstock with the Timeworn Type embossing folder and cut it out with the Deckled Rectangle die. Then, it was layered onto a piece of white cardstock, cut to 2-5/8″ x 4″ and a layer of Lost Lagoon cardstock, cut to 2-7/8″ x 4-1/4.”
• After that, I stamped the sentiment with Pretty Peacock ink and cut it out with the frame die from the Autumn Leaves dies.
• Once the leaf and sentiment were popped up on the leaf panel and adhered to the middle of the front panel of the card base. SECRET: use adhesive of your choice on the card base (not the panel) so you don’t accidentally put adhesive in the wrong area of the panel.

Then, on the inside…

• Finally, I added a panel of white cardstock (2-7/8″ x 4-1/4″) and Pretty Peacock cardstock, cut with the second largest Deckled Rectangle die. Then, after adding glue to the back, I placed them behind the front panel to position them and closed the card to position it where I liked it.
